Displayed on a text screen on one side of the stage and synchronized with the onstage performance, open captioning assists people with varying degrees of hearing loss as well as hearing audience members who might not catch every word during a performance. Support for open captioning at Hartford Stage is provided by the Beatrice Fox Auerbach Foundation Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving as recommended by Beatrice Koopman and by the J. Walton Bissell Foundation, Inc.Foundation, Inc.
