Directions From 91 North/South

Take Exit 32B, Trumbull Street. Go straight. At the sixth traffic light, (at the Hilton Hotel), turn left onto Church Street. Hartford Stage is on the left. The MAT garage entrance is also on the left, immediately after the theatre.

Directions From 84 West

Take Exit 50, Main Street. At the second traffic light, turn left onto Main Street. Turn right at the second light onto Church Street. The theatre is on the right. The MAT garage entrance is also on the right, immediately before the theatre.

Directions From 84 East

Take Exit 49, Ann & High Streets. Go straight onto Chapel Street. At the third traffic light, turn right onto Trumbull Street. Take an immediate left onto Church Street. Hartford Stage is on the left. The MAT garage entrance is also on the left, immediately after the theatre.

The MAT garage

Hartford Stage patrons may park in the MAT garage at a discount. This is a lighted, secure, public garage adjacent to the theatre, and the only downtown garage that honors a Hartford Stage voucher. 

Availability.

For evening performances, enter the MAT garage after 5:00 p.m. and leave any time before 11:00 p.m. For weekday matinees, park as space is available.

Vouchers.

Take a parking ticket as you enter the garage and then purchase your voucher at the Hartford Stage Box Office or Gift Shop. Upon exiting the garage, present your parking ticket and voucher to the attendant. You must pay for a new voucher if you lose one.

Other parking options.

Theatre-goers may park at the nearby Metro Center, Hilton Hotel or Morgan Street garages (however, our voucher only discounts parking at the MAT garage). You also may park on the street, but please take note of all on-street parking restrictions. Many downtown streets forbid parking between 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., even at parking meters, and police will ticket and tow.
