Assistant Master Electrician

Hartford Stage seeks clever, resourceful, committed individual for its electrics department. We require a team player with outstanding problem-solving abilities, and communication. Duties include assisting Master Electrician in implementing, hanging and focusing light plots, including crew supervision, and maintaining lighting equipment. Subscriptions Manager

The ideal candidate for this position should excel in patron relations, possess strong administrative and organizational skills and have excellent interpersonal skills. Essential position responsibilities include: day to day operations of all aspects of the subscription processing to offer the highest level of customer service possible, subscription reporting and marketing analysis, and developing new recognition and cultivation events. The candidate must be a self-motivated, independent thinker with the ability to lead others. College degree (4 years or higher), experience with computer box office software (The Patron Edge) and subscription experience preferred. Full time position, evening and weekend work required. Artistic Associate/Assistant to the Artistic Director

Full-time annual, exempt employee Hours: M-F, 9:30-6:00. Some evenings later to assist Artistic Director with daily operations Report to: Artistic Director Primary Function: Assist Artistic Director with day to day operations. Manage schedules and meetings. Act as liaison with local community leaders, national theatre community, and staff members for communications to and from the Artistic Director. Work with Associate Artistic Director and Artistic staff with casting, literary office, humanities programs, and other programs of the Artistic Office. May also include the producing of readings and workshops as time permits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Depending on employee, other duties may be assigned): * Liaison between Artistic Director and staff, local leaders, national theatre community and HS Board * Special concentration on managing meetings for HS’ 28 million dollar Capitol Campaign * Oversee communications of the office, including phone, email and correspondence * Facilitate information between Artistic Director and other departments * Scheduling (and implementation) of internal and external meetings * Opening night responsibilities, including assisting Artistic Director at Board & Donor reception and cast party * Arrange opening night gifts from theatre and Michael Wilson to company members * Artistic Director travel arrangements/itinerary, including conferences, auditions, out of town meetings and some personal travel * Manage Artistic Director daily schedule * Process Accounting/check requests/General Ledger reconciliations for Artistic Department and maintain budget lines, including reimbursements for Artistic Director * Assist Artistic Director in managing internal deadlines including playbill, press releases, correspondence, etc. * Liaison and serve on the annual Gala Committee for the artistic department * Maintain Artistic Director files and general Artistic office files Qualifications: * No specific degrees are required, though a BA in Theatre of English is preferred * Should be familiar with the workings of a professional theatre environment * Need to possess confidant computer skills (in Word & Excel, primarily) * Crucial to be able to multi-task extremely well in a timely fashion, and re-organize priorities quickly * Need to possess excellent verbal skills, and an ability to calmly and warmly manage and accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment * Attention to detail and incredible organization is a must * A sense of humor and the enjoyment of collaboration is especially valued!
