Development Associate

Tony award winning Hartford Stage seeks a Development Associate. This entry-level position is part of an ambitious and collegial fundraising team. Primary responsibilities include gift management and serving as database expert for the development department. The position provides essential departmental support, including correspondence, filing, and invoicing. The Development Associate conducts research to strengthen relationships with current donors and identify new prospects. The position also assists with mailings and appeals, creating and running analytical reports, and supporting donor events. Candidate should have prior development experience, interest in/knowledge of live theatre and performing arts. Experience with a fundraising database, Tessitura preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail is crucial. Costume Crafts Artisan

Hartford Stage, a Tony Award Winning, LORT B regional theatre seeks experienced individual for Costume Crafts Artisan position.  Duties include fabrication and alteration of masks, millinery, armor and jewelry, fabric modification- painting, dying and distressing, shoe repair and modification. Desired applicant should also have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, strong critical/creative problem solving skills, and would thrive in a fast paced environment. Education Apprentice

Tony award winning Hartford Stage is seeking an Education Apprentice for the 2017/2018 season.  The Education Apprentice will serve as a staff teaching artist, and assist in all aspects of the education department. Duties will include teaching in-school, after-school, and Studio programs, assisting with study guides, and assisting with all aspects of administration in the education department.  Ideal candidate will have a degree in theatre and/or education, experience working with children, flexibility and a positive attitude. Apprenticeship runs September 5, 2017 - May 25, 2018. Housing, parking and weekly stipend provided.
