Production Assistant

Tony award winningHartford Stage seeks energetic, self-motivated individual to work with Equity stage management teams for a two-year commitment during the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 seasons. Seasons includes six mainstage productions plus annual Christmas Carol.  Full season contract will allow production assistant to become key player in rehearsals and performances working with exciting directors, designers, and actors.  Excellent communication and organizational skills required.  Please submit cover letter, resume, and references to Charles S. Wardrobe Run Crew

The nationally recognized Hartford Stage (LORT B) seeks qualified individual for Wardrobe Run Crew position for for upcoming world premier musical Flamingo Kid. Dates: May 1st– June 21st .  This is an over hire position is responsible for running and maintaining shows.

Required skills include:

  • Experience setting up and executing quick changes
  • Garment care and repair including cleaning and maintenance
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, well-disciplined, flexible and capable of working in a fast paced environment.

Wig Run Crew

Hartford Stage is seeking apprentices for the 2019/2018 season. Apprenticeships are available in the following departments: Arts Administration; Artistic; Costumes; Development; Education; Electrics; Marketing/Communications; Production/Company Management; Properties and Technical/Scenic Arts. Wig and Make-Up Crew Supervisor

The nationally recognized Hartford Stage (LORT B) seeks qualified individual for Wig and Make-up Supervisor position – This position is responsible for running and maintaining shows.

Required skills include:

  • Human and synthetic wig styling and maintenance.
  • Theatrical make-up including corrective, old age, specialty, prosthetic application and maintenance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, well-disciplined, flexible and capable of working in a fast paced environment.
  • Ideal candidates will also have ventilation and wig construction skills and management experience.

This position is seasonal, full-time/hourly, eligible for overtime and includes a full benefit package. Box Office Representative

Tony Award-winning Hartford Stage is seeking a seasonal part-time Box Office Representative. Reporting to the Box Office Supervisor and/or Box Office Manager, the Representative’s primary responsibilities include assisting Hartford Stage patrons with purchasing single tickets and subscriptions over the phone, in person, and acting as a representative of the Box Office during performances. Candidate should have 1-2 years of customer service experience, excellent telephone demeanor, and the ability to respond gracefully in high pressure situations. Multitasking and attention to detail are also crucial. Applicant must be comfortable working with a computerized ticketing system (experience with Tessitura is a plus), and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Technicians

Tony award winning Hartford Stage is seeking experienced Technicians for various Run Crew positions. Applicants should have previous professional back stage experience, programing or audio experience a plus. Must be able to lift heavy equipment and scenery, and be comfortable working on ladders and elevated platforms. Responsibilities include stage rigging, scenery shifting, operating spot light, props tracking, and scene shop carpentry. Employment is on a per show basis. Pay is hourly with overtime paid after 40 hours.
