Manager of Major Gifts and Planned Giving

Tony award-winning HARTFORD STAGE seeks a full-time Manager of Major Gifts and Planned Giving to manage the organizational efforts to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts to the annual fund. In addition, they will help to plan and implement a pending endowment and advancement campaign. This position also will have primary responsibility for expanding the Shakespeare Society, a planned giving circle, through cultivation and stewardship activities. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have exceptional communication skills, and demonstrated success working with major individual donors. Knowledge of the arts and the Greater Hartford philanthropic community a plus. Candidates must possess an Associate’s degree or beyond, and at least three years fundraising/administrative experience; attention to detail, the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, the desire to grow in the field of development and interest in regional theatre. Facilities and Operations Manager

Tony award winning Hartford Stage seeks a full-time Facilities and Operations Manager to oversee the operational activities and maintenance of the company’s multiple locations.  Primary responsibilities include the creation and supervision of operational systems; including life safety procedures, security and maintenance planning; recommendation of capital equipment purchases, budgeting and expense oversight of operation budget lines and coordination/overseeing outside rentals.  Required skill sets include strong written and verbal communication, ability to multi-task, ability to be self-driven, knowledge of HVAC, security and life safety systems, problem solving, flexibility and ability to work effectively in a creative, fast paced and intellectual environment .  Knowledge of OSHA, basic repair skills and theater based operations a plus.  Work does require some weekend and/or evening work.  Hartford Stage is dedicated to the goal of building a culturally diverse and equitable environment and strongly encourages applications from people of color and women. Tessitura Specialist and Database Administrator

Tony Award-winning Hartford Stage seeks a full-time Tessitura Specialist and Database Administrator to oversee all facets of the ticketing and fundraising database, Tessitura. Primary responsibilities include building events and performances, creating reports, generating mailing lists, and responding to research and support requests. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and 3 years experience in database management, preferably working with Tessitura. Wig Run Crew

Tony Award-winning Hartford Stage is seeking qualified individual for Wig Run Crew position for 2 upcoming productions:

  • November 14 – December 31, 2017
  • March 29 – May 6, 2018

Ideal candidates should have experience with human and synthetic wig styling and maintenance, theatrical make up, ability to do quick changes–wigs and costumes as necessary, be well disciplined, flexible and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Costume Crafts Artisan

Hartford Stage, a Tony Award Winning, LORT B regional theatre seeks experienced individual for Costume Crafts Artisan position.  Duties include fabrication and alteration of masks, millinery, armor and jewelry, fabric modification- painting, dying and distressing, shoe repair and modification. Desired applicant should also have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, strong critical/creative problem solving skills, and would thrive in a fast paced environment. Technicians

Tony award winning Hartford Stage is seeking experienced Technicians for various Run Crew positions. Applicants should have previous professional back stage experience, programing or audio experience a plus. Must be able to lift heavy equipment and scenery, and be comfortable working on ladders and elevated platforms. Responsibilities include stage rigging, scenery shifting, operating spot light, props tracking, and scene shop carpentry. Employment is on a per show basis. Pay is hourly with overtime paid after 40 hours.
