Why am I being prompted to enter my old password, when I just created an account?

As soon as you create an account, a temporary password is emailed to you.  Please enter that in the “Old Password” line, and enter the password of your choosing in both the “Password” and “Confirm” lines.  You will then be able to log in using your email address and new password.

Where are the box office hours posted online?

Hover over "Plan Your Visit" link in the navigation menu above. The hours are listed in the left column. The hours are also listed in "Directions & Hours".

Where can I find information on directions & parking online?

You can view all local parking options here.

Where can I see the seating chart?

Under "Plan Your Visit", click "Seating Chart". You can even click on each section of the theatre and see a picture of the view from that section!

How much are your fees per ticket?

Each ticket has a $9.00 fee per ticket. This is the same whether you purchase online, over the phone, or in person.

How do I buy tickets online?

On our web site main navigation, hover over "See a Show" and click the show you want. On the page for that particular show, click "Buy Tickets". Select the date and time of interest, select your seats, create an account, and provide payment information.

How do I contact the Hartford Stage?

On the homepage, scroll to the bottom, click "Contact Us", and send us your message! Also, feel free to e-mail questions to boxoffice@hartfordstage.org or call us at 860-527-5151.

What is your policy on discounts/refunds/exchanges?

All ticket sales are final. All discounts are based on availability and subject to change without notice. However, in certain cases if you do need to exchange your tickets to another performance date of the same show, it is $10/ticket plus any difference in ticket price. Subscribers never pay fees to exchange their tickets, unless they miss their show. The only exception is Preview Week subscribers, who pay $10/ticket to move from Preview performances to the Regular run. Please call the box office for all exchange concerns–no exchanges can be made online. Subscribers may request a ticket exchange online.

What happens if it snows? Do you ever cancel performances? How would I know if a performance has been cancelled?

Although we seldom cancel performances, it does sometimes happen in extreme circumstances. If a performance is cancelled, the box office will reach out to each patron booked into the performance via phone and/or e-mail and offer alternative options. We will also always post cancellations on our website and social media. If you cannot make a performance due to a weather related issue, you can always call the box office and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Do you have special pricing for students?

All students can purchase one $20 ticket, regardless of age.  College students must show their student ID in order to pick up their tickets. Please call the box office for any student pricing, there are no student discounts available when purchasing online. Capital Community College students receive $10 tickets to all productions at Hartford Stage- two $10 tickets per CCC ID. Hartt School Students receive complimentary tickets to our productions- one complimentary ticket per Hartt School ID per performance, booked 2 hours or less before the performance.

What are the lowest price tickets you offer?

The lowest price tickets we offer are called SuperSavers. These tickets are $25 each and are located in our side sections B & F. They are available for all performances until they sell out.

Do you have any other discounts?

Yes! We offer a Military discount, a discount to all “Let’s Go Arts” members and a subscriber discount. Please call the box office to find out more information!

Where should I go out to eat before/after the show?

We have lots of suggestions available on our website. On our website, hover over “Plan Your Visit” and select “Restaurants & Bars”.

Are tickets more expensive on the weekends?

Not necessarily. Our ticket prices increase the fuller the theatre gets. If you are curious about comparing pricing on certain dates, you can always check our website or call the box office.

Do you have a dress code?

There is no dress code. Most of our patrons dress in casual attire.

Can I redeem my Gift Certificate online?

At this time, we are not able to redeem gift certificates online – but you are able to redeem it in person, or by giving us a call at 860-527-5151. Please be sure to have the certificate handy, as we will need information from it to process the payment. We will need to collect the physical certificate, so any tickets booked with a gift certificate will need to be picked up at Will Call.
