FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where will the program be located this winter? All youth studio classes will take place at the First Presbyterian Church of Hartford, located at 136 Capitol Ave in Hartford. The final performances of the Production Class ONLY will take place at the University of St. Joseph. Complete details will be provided to families participating in that class.

What is your sick policy? Students must be healthy, injury-free, and well enough to fully participate. If your child becomes ill while in the program, we require that they be picked up promptly. Any child who has a fever, diarrhea, or vomiting must be free of symptoms for 24 hours before returning to class. Any child with a communicable disease, including Covid-19, must remain out of class for the prescribed isolation period designated by the physician for that particular situation. Please keep sick students home so that germs and illnesses will not spread to other students and staff.

Will there be performances for the programs this winter? Yes! For our weekly full session (8 week) classes, we will hold a share day on March 21, 2026 at 11:30am, following the final class (the 10 Minute Play Project will share later – exact time TBD). The share will take place at the church. Further details will be provided as we get closer to that date.  For the Production Class, performances will take place on April 10 and 11, 2026. Families will be kept up to date if plans need to adjust. Sampler (5 week) classes will not have a share

What are your drop off/ pick up procedures? There is a small parking lot at the church and ample parking around the First Presbyterian Church, so families are welcome to park and walk up to drop off their students. When you arrive, please escort your student to the drop off area so they can be checked in. Only staff and students will be permitted in the building. Students must be dropped off in the designated drop off spots only. A parent (or someone on the child’s approved pick-up list) must sign their child in and out each day. If we do not know you, we may ask to see ID.

What is your refund policy?

Hartford Stage will refund program fees for cancellations made 2 weeks to the start of the session. No refund will be made for late arrivals or early departures, withdrawal, dismissal, or sickness. We’re sorry, but we cannot offer refunds or credits to families instructed or choosing to quarantine due to household exposure/suspected exposure. Lost time (including illness or vacation) cannot be made up in other sessions.

If you have any further questions, please contact Emely Larson, Studio Manager, at elarson@hartfordstage.org or (203) 908-1832.
