What should I wear?
There’s no dress code at Hartford Stage, so wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Some guests dress up for a special night out, while others keep it casual—there’s no right way to enjoy the theater. Whether you’re seeing your first play or your fiftieth, the most important thing is to feel comfortable, settle in, and enjoy the performance.
When should I arrive?
Shows begin at 7:30 PM for evening shows and 2:00 PM for matinees.
We recommend arriving 30 minutes before curtain so you have time to park, pick up your tickets if needed, use the restroom, and settle into your seat. Performances begin promptly at the advertised curtain time, so give yourself plenty of time to arrive and get comfortable.

When you arrive at Hartford Stage, our staff will scan your ticket. Enjoy our lobby to grab a drink or visit the restroom, then make your way to the theater, before the performance begins. Our volunteers are here to help you find your seat.
