Stage One

This opportunity helped me to build my professional network and put my credentials in art administration and I-O Psychology into practice. In addition, I really enjoy attending the behind-the-scenes events. It brings an extra layer of appreciation to the performances.

This was a significant next step toward enhancing my professional skills and experience.

Gen Z and Millennials should use these opportunities to network, socialize, or unwind from the busy demands of everyday work. The beauty of theatre is that there are multiple ways to get involved, whether you have artistic experience or not.  Everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or ability, can get involved.

I was surprised to learn about the level of community engagement and professional development training that Hartford Stage offers for all ages.

Getting the opportunity to put my training into practice has brought insight into how an organization functions and what is needed to engage and sustain social and financial capital. It showed me the importance of maintaining and building positive relationships, as well as selecting artwork that connects with the patrons, our funders, and the surrounding community.
