Student Groups

How to Order

  1. Determine the play(s) you would like to see, pick a date and time, and estimate the number of tickets you would like to reserve. Keep in mind that price varies by day of the week. 
  2. Contact the group sales coordinator at (860) 520-7244 or at groupsales@hartfordstage.org to place your reservation. We will block your quantity of seats in our system and a contract will be sent to you or the indicated contact person. This contract will outline the deposit options and amounts, payment dates, and terms and conditions (see policies).
  3. Once your group receives the contract, the group leader must sign the contract and mail it back by the indicated due date with the deposit.
  4. You may change the number of people in your group up until four weeks prior to your performance date. Final count and payment are due at this time.

If you have 10 or more people, then you are a group! We host groups of all different types, including schools, scouts, adult communities and senior centers, churches and synagogues, tour groups and fundraisers, professional organizations and businesses, social clubs and family reunions.

Why attend as a group?

Spectacular Savings —Discounts of 10% to 30%, depending on group size.

Free tickets. Groups of 20 or more paid tickets receive one complimentary ticket for the group leader.

Priority Reservations. Ordering early, and placing a 40% deposit, is the easiest way to insure your group gets the best seats at the best price. Pre-book the performance of your choice well in advance of the general public and you’ll have the seats to those sold-out shows.

Free Promotional Materials. Posters, fliers, show information—let us help you promote your Hartford Stage event!

Parking Drop-Off. Drop-off point in front of theater.

Student Groups.  Student Matinees are available for grade schools in the mornings on select dates.  Study guides and post show discussions are available for these performances as well. Call Our Group and Education Programs Coordinator for more information of dates and costs.

Host your next event. Groups can rent space in our VIP room and lobbies before or after the show for your special event. Read about our event spaces here and call 860-520-7241 to speak with our Event Manager.
